Management Profiles

Leland Smith
President

Having been brought up in a small town in Kentucky, Leland spent most of his time working for his family's retail clothing business when not in school. In 1976, he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation he worked as a Staff Accountant for American Standard in Lexington, Kentucky, prior to moving to California to work in his brother's plumbing business.

Leland soon started his own business doing plumbing, heating and air conditioning. In 1997 he sold that business to a publicly traded company and worked for them for approximately three years. In March of 2000, he founded Service Champions Heating and Air Conditioning. Service Champions' goal at the beginning of its existence, as it is today, is to provide homeowners in Southern California
a service that is beyond their expectations.

Leland resides in Yorba Linda with his wife of 26 years, and is the proud father of 3. One of Leland's passions outside of Service Champions is to meet the different Presidents of the United States and collect presidential autographs. Ever since he first saw President Nixon at the opening of the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, Leland has had a unique desire to meet as many Presidents as possible.
