LOCAL HIDDEN HILLS HOMEOWNER GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
YORBA LINDA, CA (NOVEMBER 24, 2008) - Leland Smith, local businessman and resident of Hidden Hills for over 20 years is one of the lucky ones. He was fortunate enough not to lose his home as did 31 of his neighbors in last weekends fires. Having been a longtime resident, Leland wanted to find a way to give back to his community, and this morning he did.
Hearing about a Disaster Relief Center that was set up around the corner from his business in Savi Ranch, Mr. Smith directed a number of his employees to render aide and their services, at a point when there were very few other volunteers. Employees of Service Champions Heating and Air Conditioning are helping to fill and deliver sandbags to a number of residents in an effort to protect homes from the impending rain in the forecast. “My family and I are very fortunate to still have a place we call home. I want to help my community in anyway possible, and this is one small way of giving back,” stated Leland.
Tomorrow morning at 10am they will be back to continue to help this community in need. Service Champions employees will continue to volunteer their time until their services are no longer needed.
