Furnace Precision Tune-up, Professional Cleaning, and Safety Inspection
18 Point Check-Up
Trained Service Champions technicians perform a 60-90 minute precision tune-up and professional cleaning, including the following 18 operations:
- Carbon Monoxide - test air flow duct system for carbon monoxide
- Thermostat – test for proper operation, calibrate, and level
- Inspect for combustible material around furnace
- Ignition System – test for safe and proper operation
- Exhaust System – test for proper venting
- Measure Supply/Return temperature differential
- Safety & Control Circuits – test for proper operation
- Inspect and adjust fan belt tension (if applicable)
- Clean existing air filter (as needed)
- Lubricate and clean blower motor air vents
- Furnace Burner – clean and inspect
- Heat Exchangers – clean and inspect
- Clean furnace exterior
- Visual inspection of heat exchangers for dangerous cracks and wear
- Gas Pressure – measure and adjust for peak efficiency
- Blower Motor – measure amperage and voltage for proper operation
- Electrical Wiring – inspect and tighten connections
- Natural Gas – check for leaks
Air Conditioning Precision Tune-Up, Professional Cleaning, and Safety Inspection
26 Point Check-Up
Trained Service Champions technicians will perfrom a 60-90 minute tune-up and professional cleaning including the following 26 operations:
- Blower Motor- measure amperage and voltage for proper operation
- Thermostat - test for proper operation, calibrate, and level
- Cleaning existing air filter (as needed)
- Bearing - inspect for wear and lubricate
- Inspect indoor coil if accessible
- Confirm proper return air and size
- Inspect Condenser Coil
- Refrigerate - monitor operating pressures
- Safety Devices - inspect for proper operation
- Electrical Disconnect Box - inspect for proper rating and safe installation
- Electrical Wiring - inspect and tighten connections
- Test/inspect contactors for burned, pitted contacts
- Inspect electrical for exposed wiring
- Inspect and test capacitors
- Insect fan blade
- Clean condenser coil and remove debris
- Inspect service valves for proper operation
- Measure Supply/Return temperature differential
- Inspect duct work for energy loss
- Compressor - monitor, measure amperage and volt draw and wiring connections
- Check Unit for Time Delay Relay
- Check Unit for Isolation Pads
- Inspect suction line for proper fittings
- Inspect all fittings for signs of oil and/or leakage
- Check lines and fittings with Freon leak detector
- Check the condition of Blower Belt, if applicable
